Background
Bourne Leisure is a British company which owns holiday park chains in the United Kingdom. They own the Haven and British Holidays, Butlins and Warner Leisure Hotels brands.
The new dedicated Travel Agent website provides latest offer information and marketing materials, poster and leaflets for display. Agents simply login and use the relevant Butlins, Haven or Warner Leisure Hotels booking engine to purchase a break for their customers.
The system is integrated with a security model to identify individual agents providing management information to the internal marketing team.
It has been redesigned to incorporate a fresher look and feel and a simplified navigation.
Solution
- A best practice SDL Tridion 2009 blueprint model and schema definitions were created
- To accelerate development, Building Blocks were able to minimise the number of templates necessary by reusing the Warner Leisure Hotels base template set, additionally a number of modular C# TBBs where utilised from the standard Building Blocks library.
- Tridion content delivery modules used to publish and display press releases, stored in the content broker database
- Integration with existing agent's database for login and profile
- Development of Newsletter Signup Form submitting to existing database
- Development of Information Request Form submitting to existing database
- All templates fully designed to enable WYSIWYG editing using Site Edit 2009
- Customer able to populate as we built the templates
- Tight timeline, press releases regarding the relaunch where distributed during the build phase, a deadline that couldn't be missed.
