Background
Vodacom has grown rapidly to become a major African mobile telecomms company, with more than 39 million customers served by over 7,000 employees.
Expanding quickly can often raise challenges for an organisation. In Vodacom's case, growth had affected internal communications, and this was beginning to slow down market responsiveness.
In order to get companies, departments and individuals effectively sharing information across the group, Vodacom opted to create a corporate social network, to be known as 'OurVodacom'.
